I usually take notes during a movie, so I don’t forget my initial thoughts when writing the review afterwards. But all I wrote during Borgman was “what the hell is going on?”
To be honest, I’m not sure what else to write. The aim of a review is to give potential viewers an idea of what to expect, good or bad, but in this case I’m in a bit of a bind. I can write about what to expect, and you’ll probably not going to want to see this movie. And that could be a real shame. Or not.
Or I can just stop right here, and you may or may not be intrigued by this stub of a review, and you may or may not watch it, and you may or may not take something away from it. I think I’ll go with the latter, because I can’t form my own opinion on this one, so I’ll let you figure it out for yourself — if you want to!
